Mary Novak was born and raised in Minnesota. Mary loves people and making connections. She spent 7 years living, working and studying in California but realized her true roots were in Minnesota. She lives in Minneapolis where her and her family enjoy backyard BBQs, long bike rides, hikes, local festivals, gardening and cooking. Mary’s professional life is focused around housing and community development. She is currently engaged in cooperative housing. She spent a couple of years in the construction industry. Her background has focused on the development and redevelopment of multifamily and single-family homes as well as her own home. She has been heavily involved in the Twin Cities nonprofit community, holds a certification in Housing Development and Home Ownership Finance as well as a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning. She is dedicated to building stronger communities and working with and encouraging people to achieve their dreams.
